Dr. Eisen-Cohen earned her PhD in Public Administration from the ASU School of Public Affairs in 2005 with concentrations in Program Evaluation and Public Policy. Her areas of interest and research include Administrative Theory, Organizational Behavior, Public Policy, Program Evaluation, Leadership, and Women and Politics.
Dr. Eisen-Cohen earned her MSW in Social Work (Community Planning and Administration) from the ASU School of Social Work in 1989. Her BA is in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1985. Dr. Eisen-Cohen has been working in the field since 1985. Dr. Eisen-Cohen has worked for many non-profit and public institutions.
Dr. Eisen-Cohen also serves at the original Performance Improvement Manager at the Maricopa County Department of Public Health, where she's worked since 2001. Dr. Eisen-Cohen leads evaluation projects, grant writing, program research, performance management, and strategic planning, as well as participate on the executive management team. As a practitioner as well as an academic, she is uniquely familiar with the integration of administration, management, and best-practices. It is Dr. Eisen-Cohen's goal to guide her students' learning from academic sources combined with their personal experience to better prepare future leaders.
