Dr. Edward G. Walker is an FBI National Academy graduate and has more 30 years of law enforcement experience with command staff leadership experience and has held administrative positions in higher education. He is also has 21 years with United States Army Reserve and served as Drill Sergeant Instructor TRADOC certified. He has designed, developed, and delivered educational courses and training for several institutions. Dr. Walker appreciates the benefits of solving real-world challenges by combining academic and practitioner perspectives. He is police commander with the Miami Dade Public Schools Police Department, which provides senior leadership for the fourth largest school district in the United States. He also serves as a director for a National Institute of Justice (NIJ) grant, Campus Shield, integrating technology and human resources for proactive intelligence. Dr. Walker joined Walden is Contributing Faculty, teaching DBA courses and guiding students through the doctoral study process.
