Dr. D'Marie Hanson's formal training began in the field of Psychology, Consciousness Studies, then shortly turned to the field of education wherein she has served in various capacities for the past 30+ years. Dr Hanson served as Program Assistant Director of the John Muir Charter for Adult Education in Sacramento, CA. hiring and training teachers, writing curriculum, and supervising classroom scheduling in concert with addition counseling. She then moved in to higher education positions related to faculty classroom teaching, Lead Faculty, and finally to doctoral student mentoring at both online and brick and mortar schools. At Walden University, she mentors doctoral students in the DBA Program in their 8101 & 9001 courses. Dr. Hanson has served on numerous doctoral student dissertation committees over the past 7+ years.
Dr. Hanson's current research interests focus primarily on employee engagement and the workforce generation gap, as well as organizational psychology. She has presented at numerous conferences including IBAM, the Institute of Business Administration and Management, where she also co-presented several of her students' doctoral studies. Dr Hanson has co-authored a peer reviewed article with her Walden faculty peers, a chapter in a text book, and has a book slated for release in December 2018.
