Dr. Horton is a NJ Licensed psychologist and a Certified Employee Assistance Professional. She served the U.S. Army for 41 years retiring in 2018. A 2007 graduate of Walden as a Counseling psychologist, she has enjoyed teaching at both brick and mortar schools, as well as online formats. A certified Employee Assistance Professional, Dr. Horton serves also as a crisis consultant. As a contributing faculty member, she enjoys history of psychology, assisting students with dissertation as a chair and second committee member, and supporting student needs. She has published in journals on topics such as consultation in schools to critical incident stress management. Her books chapters include military topics such as deployment and families. The most important accomplishment is the family of five children with her husband, William for 30 years.
