Dr. Deborah Mandel received her Diploma in Nursing from Kings County Hospital School of Nursing, located in Brooklyn, New York, in 1976. In 1997, she went back to school and received her BSN from Kean University, located in Union, New Jersey. In 1999 she applied and was accepted to the University of Pennsylvania's Perinatal Nurse Practitioner Program and received a Master of Science Degree in Nursing from The University of Pennsylvania in August of 2000. In 2001 Dr. Mandel was accepted to Rutgers College of Nursing's Doctoral program and received her Ph.D. in Nursing on October 1, 2008. Dr. Mandel has been in nursing for over 43 years. In those years she has worked in the field of Maternal-Child Health as a staff nurse, clinical nurse specialist, nurse educator, nurse manager, nurse executive, nurse researcher and finally, a college professor. Currently, she is associated with several universities throughout the country as a visiting adjunct faculty member teaching in RN-BSN, MSN, and DNP programs.
