Dr. Beck has over 20 years of experience as an educator in progressive leadership roles. Background includes experience as a Consultant, College Chair, Manager, Administrative Supervisor, Associate Professor, Nursing Education Instructor, and Faculty Mentor.
Provided instruction at the graduate, doctoral, and pre and post-licensure programs in traditional face to face, blended, and online formats.
As Chair, provided executive leadership for undergraduate and graduate nursing and health care programs online and at seven campuses. Developed strategic plans, supervised operational activities, and evaluated the educational programs. Participated in annual internal audits, and participated in CCNE, NLNAC and HLC accreditation. Recruited, mentored, and evaluated faculty, and monitored quality in the classroom. In order to identify needs for faculty development and curriculum revision, met regularly with all key stakeholders within and outside of the university, as well as monitoring student evaluations, and faculty performance parameters. Designed faculty development programs and made curricular revisions to improve academic quality and promote positive student outcomes. Served on curriculum committees at the national level and participated in a regular review of courses in the curriculum at multiple universities.
