David Sharp

Dr David Sharp is originally from Scotland. He moved to the USA in 2001 and has taught on various nursing programs in Ohio, California, Mississippi and Louisiana. His background is mainly in psychiatric nursing and care of the elderly. He has carried out numerous projects for the American Psychiatric Nurses Association where he serves on a number of committees. He works on various educational and clinical projects including effective learning strategies in nursing, the use of simulation for teaching clinical management skills, and a long term study of palliative care patients in an institution in the United Kingdom. He presents regularly at national and international conferences on topics in nursing education and psychiatric nursing care. At Walden University David teaches on NURS 8210 and is a member of research committees for students and acts as a URR.
