David O. Anderson received his Masters of Public Health (MPH) in Environmental Health and PhD in Environmental and Occupational Health from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. He currently serves as a Contributing Faculty Member in the PhD-Public Health Program at Walden University and was an Assistant Professor for 10 years at a major university in Texas, teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses. Dr. Anderson was formerly employed with a health department where he was a Registered Professional Sanitarian and was instrumental in developing and implementing environmental health programs such as Air Quality Control. He was also employed with the US Department of Labor – OSHA as a supervisory industrial hygienist. He has over 40 years of experience in various industries including electronic manufacturing, chemical and chemical process research and development, geothermal electrical generation, transportation, and private consulting.
Dr. Anderson has earned the professional designations of Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP), and Certified Professional Environmental Auditor (CPEA). In addition to managing a private consulting company, he has numerous publications and presentations pertaining to public health issues such as environmental health, occupational health, and safety, and also has competitively won various training contracts in these areas with the US Navy and US Marine Corps.
