Darrel D. Kniss received his PhD in Education at the University of Kansas May 2007. He currently serves as the Health and Wellness Program Manager for the U.S. Department of State and has served in this role since August 2013. Dr. Kniss serves part-time as a contributing faculty member in the Graduate Health Education & Promotion program in the College of Health Sciences. Prior to working in worksite and community health for the federal government he was an Assistant Professor at Stephen F. Austin State University where he taught undergraduate courses in Community and School Health Education as well as graduate courses in Measurement and Evaluation in Health and Physical Education. Dr. Kniss has worked and researched extensively in community health promotion and taught, researched, and served in health education in Kansas and Texas school systems.
