Darlene R. Crittenden received her DNP in Health Sciences at Troy University in May 2016. She has been a nurse since 1992. Her employment with Walden University as a contributing faculty member was July 2018. She currently manages her own practice at Crittenden Family Health & Wellness Center in Fayetteville, GA. She also serves as a hospitalist at Saint Frances Hospital in Columbus, Ga. She has served in this role since 2013. Dr. Crittenden has served as preceptor to Doctoral students at South University, Savanna, GA; as an adjunct faculty member with Columbus State University as a clinical instructor; and with Chattahoochee Valley Community College as a clinical instructor for ADN students. Additionally, she taught a class in pharmacology to medical assistants at Chattahoochee Valley. She is a published author in The Journal for Nurse Practitioners (2017). She is a member of the nurse’s honor society, The American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and a peer reviewer for the Journal for Nurse Practitioners. She has performed her role as a nurse in multiple levels of care, within various aspects of the healthcare system, and to all levels of the socioeconomic realm that impact the delivery and access to care.
