Dr. Cheri Toledo, an educator for over 30 years, has taught and coached on the university and K-12 levels. She has served as a faculty member and teacher educator, academic dean, academic counselor, classroom teacher, and athletic coach. The recipient of the 2015 Faculty Excellence Award from the Riley College of Education at Walden University, the College Service Award from the College of Education at Illinois State University, and the Gulf Star Conference Coach of the Year Award as the Head Volleyball Coach at Stephen F. Austin University, Cheri is currently the Academic Program Coordinator for the Educational Technology, Learning, Instruction, and Innovation, and Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment advanced graduate programs at Walden University. Her research, publications, and speaking revolve around the strategic uses of current and emerging technologies to increase effective teaching and learning practices. Dr. Toledo’s expertise includes the proven, effective, and appropriate use of technology in learning and instruction; social media as an educational tool and enhancement; and eLearning and instruction.
