Dr. Carman Silver is Contributing Faculty at Walden University School of Nursing. Dr. Silver received her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from Hampton University and her Master of Science Degree in Biology from Georgia State University. She has been a Registered Pharmacist since 2006 and in Academia since 2015. Dr. Silver is a Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist (BCACP) with an extensive career in providing and managing pharmacy services, focusing on community and ambulatory care pharmacy. Dr. Silver also possesses expertise in diabetes care as a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES). As a CDCES, she offers training and learning opportunities for patients and their caregivers and collaborates with healthcare providers to attain optimal health outcomes in underserved minority populations. Dr. Silver currently practices outpatient and community pharmacy and precepts fourth-year professional pharmacy students. She is also an active member of professional and community service organizations.
