Carla Bray received her Doctor of Nursing Practice at Frontier Nursing University in September 2019. She received her MSN with concentration on Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Alabama Birmingham in 2009. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, American Academy of Emergency Nurse Practitioners, Mississippi Nurses Association, Mississippi Association of Nurse Practitioners, and Sigma Theta Tau International. She has been a Hospitalist and ER provider since 2010 and is a clinical instructor for the FNP program at Walden University since September 2019. She is a former Associate Degree Nursing instructor where she taught didactic and clinical nursing courses. She was awarded the DNP Exemplary Project Award on improving timely sepsis care using the Surviving Sepsis Campaign One-Hour Bundle in a rural emergency department at Frontier Nursing University. She had the opportunity to present the project at the 2019 National Nurse Practitioners Week Virtual Event hosted by Frontier Nursing University and at the 2019 Institute of Healthcare Improvement National Forum in Orland, Fl. She holds an APRN license in Mississippi and Minnesota.
