Ariel Harrison, Ph.D., NCC, LPC is a licensed school counselor in Virginia, a certified school counselor in Georgia, and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia. She has worked as a school counselor for almost 12 years in elementary, middle, and high school settings that include private, public, and charter schools.

She is the Academic Program Coordinator and Core Faculty in the School Counseling masters program at Walden. Ariel is a graduate of Walden University's Counselor Education and Supervision doctoral program and loves the relationships that she has formed with students and faculty at Walden. Her theoretical orientation involves Adlerian Therapy and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and her research interests include school belonging, race and racial identity development, African American counseling concerns, and multicultural counseling competence.
