Dr. Perry has worked in the School of Psychology at Walden University since 2008. He started at Walden as a part-time faculty member and in 2009 became Program Director for the doctoral specializations in General, Health, and Organizational Psychology. Beginning in 2011, he also served as Program Director for the doctoral specializations in Educational and Social Psychology. In 2015, Dr. Perry move to a full-time, core faculty position in the School of Psychology. Dr. Perry's primary responsibilities include mentoring dissertation students, teaching at dissertation intensives and doctoral residencies, and teaching doctoral level coursework.
Dr. Perry's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology from Brandeis University. His M.A. (Experimental Psychology) and B.A. (Psychology/Gerontology) were earned from CSU Sacramento. After completing his Ph.D., Dr. Perry was awarded a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in aging and cognition at the University of Southern California. His broad research interests include cognition, perception, human factors, psycholinguistics, and adulthood and aging.
