Dr. Annie Brown formal training is in leadership and organizational change. Dr. Brown is a life-long educator who has provided over 30 years of service in the educational arena and has earned a Ph.D., M.B.A, B.B.A., and an A.S. Dr. Brown served as an administrator in diverse positions in higher education related to training, leadership, teaching, curriculum development, institutional effectiveness, program evaluation, and accreditation. She has taught in brick and mortar and online environments. Dr. Brown also led diverse software conversion teams.

At Walden, Dr. Brown teaches doctoral mentoring and completion, as well as leadership courses. Along with being a University Research Reviewer, Dr. Brown currently serves, and has served on numerous doctoral students dissertation committees. She continues to serve on a variety of civic and community organizations. Dr. Brown has presented at numerous conferences including the Chamber of Commerce Building Bridges and Leadership training program. Dr. Brown believes her volunteer activities allow her the opportunity to help more people as well as promote social change and economic growth. Dr. Brown co-authored a book. In her free time, Dr. Brown enjoys spending time and traveling with her husband and her two sons. She also enjoys sports, reading, motivating students, helping others, learning new things, and writing.
