Anita Korbe has been a nurse for 35 years and has taught nursing for the last 15 years. Her BSN degree was completed at Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas, a Masters degree in Nursing Administration and a Certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, South Carolina, and a Doctor of Health Science degree from Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Certification as a Nurse Educator was achieved in 2008.
Anita is a member of the ANA, NLN and has served as the President-elect and President of the South Carolina League of Nursing and as Chair of the Education Committee for the South Carolina Nurses Association. She is also a member of Sigma Theta Tau International and has served on the board for the Gamma Omicron Chapter at Large.
She works with the Lindsborg Community Hospital to administer the Korbe Family Nursing Scholarship and awards $1000 scholarships each year in a small rural community for high school students who desire to attain an Associates or Bachelor's degree in nursing.
