Dr. Andrea L. Leschak holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and is a Board-Certified Geriatric Pharmacist.
Her career spans 25+ years with experience in the community and as a consultant in long term care. It was during her time consulting that she identified what she believed to be an opportunity to improve patient care. She accepted a full-time position at a school of pharmacy and established an embedded clinical practice site within a skilled nursing facility to deliver expanded pharmacy services.
She has seven years teaching experience at the collegiate level both as adjunct faculty and as an assistant professor. She has experience teaching drug information, geriatrics, and advanced leadership and executive development.
She has conducted poster presentations at three national professional association meetings in addition to being a guest speaker for many community service events.
At Walden University she is contributing faculty member in the School of Nursing.
