André L. Hines received her Doctorate in Health Care Administration at Central Michigan University in May 2009. She currently serves as a Contributing Faculty Member of Walden University in the College of Health Sciences, Masters of Healthcare Administration program and has served in this role since June 2016. Dr. Hines has taught Human Resource Management for Healthcare Administrators, Law, Ethics, and Policy, Healthcare Financial Management & Economics, Healthcare Operations Management, Strategic Planning and Implementation, Contemporary Topics in the U.S. Healthcare Delivery System, Health Information Technology, Administration of Health Care Agencies, Non-Profit Management, Introduction to Healthcare Administration, Healthcare Internship, Intergovernmental Relations, Seminar in Executive Leadership, Health Policy and Politics, Urban Politics, Public Policy, and City Politics. Professionally, Dr. Hines has worked as a senior health care executive in community health for over 20 years in Illinois and Alaska. She has delivered a number of presentations on community health and conditions in developing African countries. She has published numerous articles. Dr. Hines was featured on CBS as “Some One You Should Know" in 2011. She has received a number of awards for her work as a health care executive and community leader.
