Dr. Adcock received her Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Instructional Design & Technology from the University of Memphis in 2004. After graduation, she spent ten years as a full time, tenured faculty member at Old Dominion University (Norfolk, VA) in the Instructional Design & Technology Program.
Her research interests include the relationship between message design and knowledge development. She uses design and/or evaluation mixed methods research to determine how elements (e.g. navigation, fidelity) of self-paced learning environments found in games and simulations can inhibit or contribute to learning.
