Allison J. Terry received her PhD in Public Administration at Auburn University Montgomery in May 2005. She most recently served as Assistant Dean at Auburn University Montgomery College of Nursing and Health Sciences in Montgomery Alabama. Professionally, Dr. Terry has worked as a registered nurse in many clinical areas, particularly in Oncology and Critical Care, and has also served as a full-time researcher and Director of the Alabama Center for Nursing. She is licensed to practice as a registered nurse in the state of Alabama. In addition, Dr. Terry served as Director of Community Certification for the Alabama Department of Mental Health. She has written several articles, contributed to many textbooks, and developed numerous presentations. In 2011, Dr. Terry completed a textbook on clinical research for students at the Doctor of Nursing Practice level that is currently in its 3rd edition; a textbook on the transition from the LPN role to RN role was completed in 2012. She completed two additional textbooks during 2023.
