Alison earned a B.A. in astrophysics from Swarthmore College, a M.A. in astronomy from the University of Virginia, and a Ph.D. in science education from The Ohio State University. She has taught physics, astronomy, general science, earth science, environmental science, biology, and science teaching methods, courses to undergraduate, graduate, and high school students for more than twenty years. At Walden, she teaches natural science courses and the HMNT 1001 first term course.
