Dr. Beckwith, a contributing faculty member in the School of Counseling, holds a PhD in Counseling and Counselor Education from North Carolina State University and a Masters of Education in Psychological Counseling from Teachers College at Columbia University. A practicing counselor since 2010, Dr. Beckwith's clinical experiences center on counseling with children, adolescents, young adults, and families in a variety of mental health settings, including community mental health, college counseling, and private practice. In addition to counseling, she conducts counselor supervision for counselors pursuing full licensure as well as graduate student counseling interns. Dr. Beckwith is committed to enhancing access to mental health services for all communities and to ensuring counseling is conducted with cultural humility and a focus on social justice.
