Alex Camacho received his PhD in Public Health at Walden University in February 2009. He currently serves as Contributing Faculty in the College of Health Sciences at Walden University and has served in this role since November 2018. At Walden, he chairs and serves on dissertation committees for doctoral candidates within the College of Health Sciences. Dr. Camacho has over 6 years of experience serving on committees and teaching a wide-range of research-related courses including Research Design, Statistics, Applied Quantitative Methodologies, and Information Technology for Statistical Applications at other colleges and universities. Professionally, Dr. Camacho has worked as a Senior Scientist in various agencies of the Federal government and has completed advanced post-doctorate training in biostatistics, research design and methodologies, and public policy and management. Dr. Camacho is a Subject Matter Expert in Measurement & Statistical Methodologies, and holds the ITIL® Expert credential in Information Technology Service Design & Management. He has a number of peer-reviewed publications and presentations on health indicators, as well as on the design and evaluation of Federally-funded programs.
