Dr. Mallicoat is a qualitative researcher, counselor educator, and clinical supervisor. She serves on the Skills Committee in the School of Counseling, in addition to teaching supervision and internship in the Counselor Education and Supervision program. She is also the facilitator for the Sexual Wellness in Counseling Interest Network in the American Counseling Association. Other professional accomplishments include being selected for an Emerging Leaders fellowship at the Southern Association for Counselor Education and Supervision and receiving the Outstanding Doctoral Student Award through Chi Sigma Iota. Dr. Mallicoat is an active member of the American Counseling Association, the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision, and the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of North Carolina. She is a licensed professional counselor supervisor in North Carolina and a nationally certified counselor.
