Background

Dr. Scott is a core faculty member in the Mental Health Counseling program at Walden University, having joined as a contributing faculty member in 2007. She is a licensed mental health counselor in Florida, and her clinical work includes individuals, couples, and families. Much of her clinical work focuses on adolescents and young adults, with special attention to trauma, identity, and developmental considerations. Dr. Scott has presented at numerous conferences on her research and related topics, and has authored publications on family therapy and adolescent development. She is also the founder of a local teen-advocacy organization that supports adolescent health and wellness.
