Dr. Brown Beatty is a counselor educator and a licensed professional counselor in the state of Ohio. She has taught for 8 years at the undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels at several universities, both on campus and in online learning environments. Dr. Brown Beatty is most passionate about her experience working with domestic violence victims and continues to focus on social justice issues impacting this population. She is actively involved in local and national counseling professional organizations and maintains a small private practice. Dr. Brown Beatty is also a part-time faculty member at Union Institute & University. She has been recognized by the Greater Cincinnati Consortium of Colleges and Universities with an award for excellence in teaching, and has received the J. Melvin Whitmer Creative Altruism Award at Ohio University.
