Dr. Stapleton is a therapist and clinical supervisor serving in a rural federally designated need area with the National Health Service Corps. He currently has offices in Fairfield and Ottumwa IA. He is a mental health generalist who works with all ages and treatment issues, however; he specializes in working with adolescents with severe emotional and behavioral issues. Dr. Stapleton is an active member of the American Counseling Association, the Iowa Mental Health Counselors Association; The Association for Children and Adolescent Counselors; and the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision. He is an advocate for providing equal services for children and adolescents as those services provided to adults. He is also an active advocate in adding professional counselors as providers for Medicare clients. Dr. Stapleton became a contributing faculty in Walden’s College of Social and Behavioral Science in the Mental Health Counseling program, in 2016.
