Dr. Anderson is licensed to practice in Ohio and Pennsylvania. She became a contributing faculty member at Walden University in 2010 and a core faculty member in 2014. She currently conducts court-ordered psychological and mental health evaluations for the county court system. She also volunteers at the county prison, providing mental health treatment to inmates. She serves as an executive member on the Criminal Justice Advisory Board (CJAB), as the chair of the CJAB Bylaws and Nominations Committee, and as a member of the CJAB Treatment Subcommittee. She also developed and implemented the prison’s forensic mental health program. Prior to her work in the criminal justice system, she had a private practice, providing treatment to children, adolescents, adults, and older adults for a multitude of issues. She has also worked in emergency services and crisis intervention. Dr. Anderson has taught undergraduate courses at Butler County Community College and Youngstown State University and graduate courses for Duquesne University. She has presented at numerous national, state, and regional conferences and has published in peer-reviewed journals.
