Background

Dr. Parker is a counselor educator, licensed professional counselor supervisor in Texas and Mississippi, and registered play therapist. Dr. Parker is an active member of Chi Sigma Iota and was elected president of her local chapter, Rho Kappa. She is a member of the review committee for Chi Sigma Iota as well as the Counselor Community Engagement Committee. Other professional accomplishments include being selected as an Emerging Leader by the Mississippi Counseling Association and serving as secretary of the Mississippi Licensed Professional Counselors Association. She is a member of the American Counseling Association, Association for Child and Adolescent Counseling, Association for Counselor Education and Supervision, and Association for Humanistic Counseling. She is a published author and has presented in numerous national, regional, and local counseling conferences. Dr. Parker became a contributing faculty member in Walden’s School of Counseling in 2011.
