Background

Dr. Dean has worked in the field of mental health counseling in a variety of roles. She has worked with clients diagnosed with Axis I and II disorders as a counselor, substance abuse clinician, case manager, crisis intervention worker, and intake/assessment clinician. Dr. Dean is a national certified counselor, an approved clinical supervisor, a certified substance abuse counselor in Virginia, and a licensed professional counselor in New Jersey and Maryland. She is an active member of Chi Sigma Iota counseling honor society and is a published author and researcher. Dr. Dean became a contributing faculty member in Walden’s School of Counseling in 2014.
