Dr. Rizzo is a researcher, counselor educator, and supervisor. He has been licensed as a professional clinical counselor with supervisory endorsement in Ohio since 1999. He has practiced in community mental health, private practice, and residential treatment for youth. He is currently the clinical director of a community mental health agency that provides an array of residential services for youth, including a group home network, crisis residential center, and maternity group home for teens. Dr. Rizzo has served on advisory councils for Summit County Children Services; the Summit County Alcohol, Drug Addiction & Mental Health Services Board; and the Ohio Association of Child Caring Agencies. He became a contributing faculty member in the Mental Health Counseling Program at Walden University in 2014.
