Dr. Ventura is a qualitative researcher, trauma specialist, and counselor educator. She serves on panels in her area regarding the implementation of care for traumatized children and adolescents and for individuals with co-occurring disorders. Other professional accomplishments include coauthoring trauma textbooks and collaborating on efforts to implement school-based therapy programs for children with emotional support needs related to self-injury and trauma. Dr. Ventura is the president of Associates in Counseling & Wellness, LLC, which provides private therapy and group therapy services to individuals, families, and couples. Additionally, as a qualified expert witness, Dr. Ventura has testified in numerous trauma-related cases and provides expert opinions regarding the impact of trauma related to children.
