Background

Dr. Borda specializes in medical family therapy and has a minor in substance abuse counseling. She is a licensed mental health counselor and a licensed marriage and family therapist who has been in private practice in South Florida for more than 12 years. She has gained credentials as an adoptions competent counselor and a certified hypnotherapist, and is an American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy approved supervisor and fellow. Dr. Borda’s areas of specialization include sexual abuse and trauma. She has worked closely with the Florida Department of Children and Families and other child-welfare organizations in Broward County, advocating on behalf of abused, abandoned, neglected, and maltreated youths for almost 20 years.
