Background

Dr. McLain-Tait, a licensed professional counselor and approved clinical supervisor, has more than 14 years of clinical mental health counseling experience and 8 years of university teaching expertise, 5 of which were in a CACREP counseling program. She has served in multiple roles in academia, including clinical coordinator, coordinator of assessment and admission, online developer and coordinator, and program director. Dr. McLain-Tait is a member of the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (ACES); the Colorado Counseling Association; and the Association for Spiritual, Ethical, and Religious Values in Counseling. She offers teaching and debriefing sessions on grief and loss in the workplace on a volunteer basis and works with the Colorado Pregnancy Loss Alliance. In addition, she is a member of the ACES Technology Interest Network. She recently had a chapter published in The SAGE Encyclopedia of Theory in Counseling and Psychotherapy on “Schema Therapy.”
