Phi Nu is a chartered chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International, Honor Society of Nursing® and was established at Walden University School of Nursing in 2011. Through our members, the honor society strives to improve the health and well-being of people worldwide. Connect with nurses around the world to share the latest nursing research and best practices in clinical, scientific, and leadership areas.
The purpose of the society is to:
- Recognize superior achievement.
- Recognize the development of leadership qualities.
- Foster high professional nursing standards.
- Encourage creative work.
- Strengthen commitment to the ideals and purposes of the nursing profession.
Induction into the honor society is by invitation only and occurs twice a year—check the Phi Nu website or Facebook page for details. Eligibility requirements are established by Sigma Theta Tau International. Walden nursing students, alumni, and faculty are eligible for membership based on STTI requirements.
