No matter where you are in your career, The Richard W. Riley College of Education and Leadership offers a wide range of scholarships to help you on your educational journey. Our scholarships, totaling more than $370,000 in awards, reflect our commitment to supporting educator effectiveness and student achievement.

Ann “Tunky” Riley Excellence in K–12 Education Scholarships 
Award: Two $25,000 scholarships
Eligible Programs: Bachelor’s, Master’s, Post-Master’s, and Doctoral programs in K-12 education
This scholarship is offered to two new students who have contributed significantly to their students, colleagues, and learning communities in K-12 education. This scholarship is available for students enrolling in a Walden K–12 educator degree program.

Excellence in Early Childhood Scholarships 
Award: Four $10,000 scholarships
Eligible Programs: Bachelor’s, Master’s, Post-Master’s, and Doctoral programs in early childhood

This scholarship is offered to four new students who have demonstrated excellence in the field of early childhood and are enrolling in one of Walden’s early childhood degree programs.

M.S. in Instructional Design and Technology Scholarships 
Award: Four $7,500 scholarships
Eligible Programs:  M.S. in Instructional Design and Technology

This scholarship is available to four new students who are successfully integrating technology into their learning environment and are enrolling in the M.S. in Instructional Design and Technology program.
 
NEA Excellence in Public School Education Full-Tuition Scholarships
Award: Seven full tuition scholarships
Eligible Programs: M.S. in Early Childhood Studies, M.S. in Education, and M.S. in Instructional Design and Technology

Up to seven National Education Association (NEA) members are eligible for this full-tuition scholarship designed to recognize educators who have made a positive impact on public education within their school or community.

Terry O’Banion Leadership Scholarships 
Award: Two $25,000 scholarships
Eligible Programs: Master’s, Post-Master’s, and Doctoral programs in higher education

Named in honor of respected community college thought leader, this scholarship is offered to two new students enrolling in a master’s or doctoral degree program in higher education.

Positive Social Change Doctoral Scholarships
Award: Five $20,000 scholarships
Eligible Programs: Doctoral and Post-Master’s

This scholarship is offered to five new students enrolling in a Walden doctoral or post-master’s education degree program who have had a positive impact on their local community’s education challenges.
