Violence prevention; restorative justice; men and masculinities
Dr. Meagher has worked in both clinical and community settings during the past 15 years, conducting primary violence prevention activities and working with children, youth, and families to promote health and well-being. More recently, he has worked in colleges and universities to prevent and intervene in sexual assault, intimate partner violence, and stalking, and he has pioneered educational strategies to work with men on issues of violence and power. Dr. Meagher’s dissertation focused on the use of restorative justice in higher education settings. He joined Walden in fall 2013 as an adjunct faculty member and as a field education coordinator in the MSW program.
