Dr. Langevin is director of BrazilWorks, a website that provides information and analysis about Brazil. He is associate professor of government and politics at the University of Maryland-University College (UMUC), associate researcher at the Centro Universitário de Brasilia (UniCEUB), and chief negotiator and strategic analyst for the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME). Dr. Langevin researches and writes extensively on Brazilian policymaking, United States-Brazil relations, and the labor movement. He is currently finishing a book-length manuscript on U.S. foreign policy and Brazil as well as an academic article on Brazilian climate policymaking. He is a regular contributor to publications such as American Diplomacy, Boletim Meridiano 47, Brazzil, the Inter-American Dialogue’s Latin American Advisor, Journal of Energy Security, Labor Studies Journal, and Universitas: Relações Internacionais.
