For the past 13 years, Dr. Demeter has served with the State of Maryland government, most recently as a director and senior policy advisor for public health programs. She is currently a research associate at Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health, Department of Epidemiology. Dr. Demeter has also worked as a principal investigator, program manager and researcher in state- and community-based research settings in areas such as chronic disease, epidemiology, injury prevention, and public health.
