Dr. Shepeard has worked for nearly three decades in social marketing, strategic planning, health promotion, community engagement, health communication, and public health in the federal government. Currently, she is the chief of the Health Promotion and Community Involvement Branch* for the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and National Center for Environmental Health/Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease. Previously, she worked in health communications, marketing, total quality management, and strategic planning for various organizations within the CDC and the Department of the Army.
