Background

Dr. Proctor joined Walden University in 2010 as a contributing faculty member in the School of Public Policy and Administration. He currently operates his own consulting company, The Proctor Agency, which provides strategic expertise to higher education clients. For 25 years, Dr. Proctor served as a faculty member at Northwood University. He founded and was the first dean of the Office of Institutional Research at Northwood. He has also taught all levels of statistics, quantitative methods, and research design and methodology. He has particular experience in the metrics involved specifically with assessment of student learning. Dr. Proctor is a peer reviewer for the Higher Learning Commission’s traditional method of accreditation and has served in consulting roles for the commission in matters relating to international partnerships and programs. Recognized as co-founder of two colleges in the People’s Republic of China, he has been honored by both Chinese schools and Northwood University for his innovation in “fathering” educational opportunities and for being an “Outstanding Contributor and Friend of Higher Education in China.” Dr. Proctor is currently writing a textbook and field use guide for “Practical Statistics.”
