Background

Dr. Escobedo is a contributing faculty member for the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. He earned nine scholarships during his academic career, including the Texas Business Hall of Fame Scholarship. He has 15 years of management experience in academia, teaching in academia, and/or providing professional training to faculty and students in diverse topics. For 16 years, Dr. Escobedo has been employed in public administration at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) in various positions including federal investigator, supervisory investigator, and federal mediator. Throughout his years of federal government service, Dr. Escobedo has received various awards and recognitions, including an award from President Bill Clinton. In addition, in May 2010, Dr. Escobedo earned his Senior Professional in Human Resources designation. Dr. Escobedo is a trained mediator and is bilingual in Spanish and English.
