Background
Anne Marie Hayes has a long history of involvement in public policy and legal advocacy work. After completing law school, she became a staff attorney advocate specializing in representing clients in family, educational, mental health, and criminal justice proceedings. This advocacy included public policy work for issues related to juveniles. In addition to practicing law, she has worked as an advocate for foster children and an instructor of law-based courses in business, criminal justice, paralegal studies, and political science programs.
