Dr. Hobson joined Walden in 2004 and currently serves as the clinical director for a large federally funded mental health program and is the program manager at a community counseling center. In addition to having experience as an outpatient mental health therapist at various community mental health agencies, he served as a child welfare social worker. He formerly worked as a psychologist for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation and also as a psychologist for a community counseling center in rural northern California. Dr. Hobson has taught several courses at Walden, including Interviewing and Observational Strategies, Personality Assessment, Abnormal Behavior for Forensic Populations, Group Counseling Skills, and Criminal Behavior.
