Dr. Hicks is a licensed clinical psychologist practicing in the Chicago area where he specializes in men’s issues, sexual compulsivity, and psychoanalytic psychotherapy. He is also a graduate of the Adult Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Training Program at the Chicago Institute for Psychoanalysis. Dr. Hicks teaches courses in advanced psychopathology, ethics and professional standards, practicum, and internship. Prior to his appointment at Walden, he was an assistant professor of counseling and human services at Roosevelt University in Chicago.
