Presently, Dr. Schmidt is responsible for crew, training, and protective systems research and development for military aircraft, and he oversees about 800 scientists and engineers in performing that mission. Dr. Schmidt has taught graduate psychology, management, and safety classes for several institutions over the years, and he joined Walden in 1997. He is a licensed psychologist who is board certified in human factors.
