Clinical device studies related to diabetes management
Dr. Sweeney is a Nurse Practitioner with 18 years’ experience in diabetes management. A former clinical faculty member with State University of San Diego and Azusa Pacific University, he has taught courses on primary healthcare of the mature and aging family. He is the author of an article titled “Inpatient Insulin Pump Therapy: Assessing the Effectiveness of an Educational Program” in the Journal for Nurses in Professional Development. He presents frequently at conferences on inpatient management of insulin pump therapy in Loma Linda, California. Dr. Sweeney joined Walden’s faculty in 2013 and teaches courses in the College of Health Sciences, School of Nursing.
