Dr. Jasmine began her career in New Orleans, La., where she worked in administration as chief nursing officer and chief operating officer. As a result of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, Dr. Jasmine evacuated to Houston, Texas. Since then, she has worked as a director of operational support for an acute-care hospital managing policy and procedure development, mentoring healthcare workers, and participating in research initiatives. She has also worked as a clinical instructor for prospective nurses and as an online facilitator teaching nursing leadership. She is also the owner of a healthcare consulting company. She joined Walden’s faculty in 2010 and teaches nursing courses in the Leadership and Management specialization.
