Background
Dr. Swearingen is the talent practice leader for nursing leadership development for the Center for Leadership and Learning at Florida Hospital. Her work experience encompasses a variety of managerial, clinical, and academic settings with a concentration in operational administration, performance improvement, organizational development, talent management, leadership development, continuing education, and nursing research. Dr. Swearingen is active in the Florida Association of Nurse Executives, the American Association of Nurse Executives, and Sigma Theta Tau International. Dr. Swearingen joined Walden Faculty in 2010 and teaches nursing leadership and management.
